Iris joined Carrington Chambers in 2025 following her roles as Principal of her own legal practice and Special Counsel in private practice. Iris has undertaken solicitor and Counsel work (including as an Independent Children’s Lawyer) in the area of family law since 2003.
Iris is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of South Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Whales and the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
With a deep understanding of the complexities, and often heart-wrenching nature of family breakdowns and parenting/property disputes, Iris approaches her clients’ cases with empathy and practicality. She aims to explain the law clearly, provide her clients with information about their options and help find the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Iris is pleased to accept briefs and appear in all areas of family law including financial and parenting matters and as Counsel for an Independent Children’s Lawyer. Iris appears for both privately funded litigants in addition to those funded by a grant of legal aid and she will also accept briefs to appear in intervention order matters in the SA Magistrates Court.
